Dr. Vanessa Cazás-Moreno is an adjunct instructor in the master’s program (AES) and doctoral program (HHP). She earned her Ph.D. from Concordia University, Chicago in Leadership and Human Performance, and her MSc in Kinesiology from California State University, Fullerton. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with Distinction through the NSCA, USA Weightlifting Level 1 certified, and Pregnancy and Postpartum Exercise Specialist. Currently, she is serving as the NSCA Tennessee State Director (2018-present) and was awarded the NSCA State Director of the Year in 2020. Her primary research interests are in human performance, specifically strength and conditioning and post-activation potentiation.
