BIO

Kristen Snyman, PhD

Dr. Snyman is an Assistant Professor of Health & Human Performance and doctoral program coordinator at Concordia University, Chicago. She earned her Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, MSc in Kinesiology at California State University-Fullerton, and is a certified strength & conditioning specialist. Her research involves physiological mediators of the perception of effort, neuromuscular adaptations to exercise, and ergogenic aids. She is an active member of the NSCA, a former member of the NSCA research committee (2017-2020), and a current member of the NSCA Foundation Board of Directors (2021 – 2023). Dr. Snyman typically teaches in the areas of neuromuscular physiology, exercise physiology, and strength & conditioning.
