Jason Winchester is an Associate Professor at Concordia University Chicago. He earned his Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology with a minor in Biomechanics in 2008. Since that time, he has worked as a professor at several different universities, most recently in a Doctor of Physical Therapy program, where he taught a variety of subjects to include Exercise Physiology, Biomechanics, Therapeutic Exercise, Pain Science, Motor Learning, Therapeutic Modalities, and Functional Anatomy. Prior to that he worked in Exercise Science, Strength and Conditioning, and Athletic Training programs. His scholarly focus has been on human performance and, in more recent years, injury prediction and prevention. Dr. Winchester is heavily involved in the NSCA as well as ACSM and has served in a number of capacities in those organizations, from moderating discussions at professional conferences to reviewing abstracts or grant proposals. He serves on the Editorial Review Board for a number of scientific journals and is a Senior Associate Editor for the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research. His practical experience includes working in Strength and Conditioning, Sports Science, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Commercial Fitness, and Corporate Wellness. Dr. Winchester enjoys working with students as well as collaborating at the national and international level.
