JOB TITLE: Assistant/Associate Professor of Health and Human Performance (Doctoral)

DEPARTMENT: Professional Studies

SUPERVISOR: Dr. Don Beers

Responsibilities/Duties: The primary responsibilities for this tenure-track position include: serving as program coordinator for the online doctoral program in health and human performance, serving on dissertation committees and chair dissertations as needed, doctoral student advising, and teaching while maintaining an active research agenda.

Skill Sets: The successful candidate will have 1) excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to build meaningful relationships with faculty, prospective students, and other constituency groups, and 2) a student-centered and servant leadership philosophy of teaching and learning.

Minimum Experience Required: A demonstrable record of successful graduate-level university teaching experience. A demonstrable record of, or evidence of potential for, scholarly productivity. Professional work experience in health and human performance. Experience mentoring and motivating students in an online environment.

Education Requirements: Earned doctoral degree in Exercise Science, Health, or closely related field.

Responsibilities/Duties: The Department of Professional Studies at Concordia University Chicago invites applications for the position of Adjunct Professor of Health and Human Performance. Primary responsibility is teaching online courses in the following areas: Exercise and Sports Nutrition, Fitness & Wellness, Health, Human Movement Science, Strength & Conditioning, Sports Performance Training, and Exercise Physiology.
